Our Projects
Take a look at some of our projects where we partnered with real estate industry leaders.
We can help with a single asset, or a portfolio, just get in touch.
“The MEES team bring a unique blend of technical and commercial expertise. We can always rely on their advice and trust that they will ensure our portfolio meets minimum standards affordably and sustainably.”
— Dan Roberts, Senior Asset Manager, Mileway
-
Logistics real estate business, Mileway, had an urgent need to identify all buildings within its portfolio which did not meet the Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES). The portfolio of largely industrial holdings spans the UK with sites of up to 25,000 sq m. In just six months, MEES Solutions completed and analysed over 340 EPCs to identify urgent, medium and long-term risks and make recommendations so that every property meets the minimum standards.
-
Mileway required a large number of holdings to be assessed within a fairly short timeframe so our priority was to work as efficiently as possible. We did this by breaking the portfolio into geographical lots and setting out a very clear assessment and reporting process. The lots were allocated throughout our team of experienced surveyors whilst the Account Manager maintained an overall picture of the national programme. The team was incredibly productive, undertaking an average of 35 assessments per week.
-
Efficient programme delivery through a single point of contact and project manager
Regional teams with local knowledge and flexible resources
Minimal disruption to allow continuity of service on site
Survey data submitted via a collaborative SharePoint site
A smooth and productive flow of survey work
Real-time survey programme and data available to view at all times
Practical and cost-efficient recommendations for non-compliant (below E rating) buildings
Development of real-time dashboard to allow Asset Managers to view EPC survey data
“MEES’ technical expertise is impressive and having them critique our existing EPC assessment was very useful. Like us, the MEES team place value over cost which led them to identify how we could get the best from the property, for everyone’s benefit. This is why we have chosen to work with MEES on future EPCs across our portfolio.”
- George Eddy, Asset Manager, Orchard Street
-
Orchard Street is a leading commercial property investment manager with assets under management of £4bn. Following a lease renewal EPC assessment by another Consultancy, MEES was appointed to undertake a technical review. Orchard Street was not confident in aspects of the report which rated the property F and suggested retrofit solutions which were costly, disruptive and not appropriate to the setting.
-
We were appointed to supplement our client’s own in-house assessors due to the scale of the programme. Our priority was to integrate our team with theirs and quickly become familiar with and competent in any existing systems and processes. We worked in a true partnership ethos, collaborating on ways to work smarter, sharing our skills and experience and learning from each other.
-
Savings of £50k through alternative solutions.
Prevented unnecessary and disruptive work.
Tennant engagement to identify and respond to their needs.
Accurate modelling produced better EPC rating.
